September 19, 2010 - Having grown up in New England, the only Bird of Paradise flowers that I had seen were those at a florist, or the fake ones made of silk. We purchased a plant earlier this year and placed it by the chimney. What a thrill it is to see it bloom!
September 13, 2013 - Almost three years later, our bird of paradise continues to bloom and this year there are at least six or seven blooms in all. Two have come and gone, two are currently blooming and the others are on their way.
