February 1, 2023 - Wednesday - Today we were in West Hollywood, CA to visit the Morrison Hotel Gallery in the lobby of the Sunset Marquis Hotel. MHG is the world's leading brand in fine art music photography representing over 125 of the world's finest music photographers and their archives.
The Sunset Marquis is on a side street off of Sunset Strip and it doesn't look like much from the street. However, inside it's a different story. The hotel attracts professional musicians since all of the rooms are soundproofed and there are two recording studios on premises.
We arrived at 10:00 AM but the gallery was closed, so we went to eat since it should be open by 11:00 AM.
It was still closed at 11:00 AM and this sign was on the door.
Well, someone is enjoying their five hour lunch today, but it didn't matter since the entire hotel is decorated with their photographs.

The grounds are spectacular.
It would have been fun to see the photographs in the gallery, but that didn't stop us from enjoying what we did see.
Since the gallery wasn't open at 10:00 AM, we had brunch at an iconic Los Angeles restaurant, Mel's Drive-In.
We both had their famous Melburger, with all of the usual stuff plus some delicious pickles.
