January 10, 2024 - Wednesday - We were in Anaheim, CA today to visit the Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center. The origins of the Muzeo can be traced to 1963 when it took over the Carnegie Library building that originally opened in 1908 and was the Anaheim Public Library until 1963. Since then many further expansions have occurred. The current exhibit is called Traditions, which looks at all facets of family life and the many traditions that are passed down from generation to generation here in Southern California.
The work below is a thread painting on denim.
The second exhibit is called "Muzeo Express," a play on "Polar Express." There are two rooms devoted to model trains.
There's even a Santa Claus sailing over the village.
Before the museum, we had lunch at the wonderful Ruby's Diner here in Anaheim.
We both had bacon cheeseburgers with fries and a side of onion rings. The onion rings dipped in ranch dressing are perfect.
