January 30, 2025 - Thursday - Today we were in Ontario to see the latest exhibits at the Ontario Museum of History and Art.  There are two exhibitions that showcase a range of printmaking techniques and styles.  "Mission Gráfica: Reflecting a Community in Print" comes from San Francisco artists and "Centered in Ink: Printmaking in the Inland Empire" comes from Inland Empire artists.

There was a General Electric plant in Ontario that manufactured flatirons.  It closed in 1982 contrary to this protest tee-shirt.

The one below brought a smile to my face.  Leonard Peltier is a Native American activist who was wrongly convicted and incarcerated for two life sentences in 1977.  On January 19, 2025, President Biden's last day in office, Biden commuted Peltier's life sentence.

We loved this greeting card of Ontario's legendary mule cars.

These last four pictures are from the "Centered in Ink: Printmaking in the Inland Empire" exhibit.  It took me a while to see the jaguar biting the snake.

This last picture is beautiful showing an elaborate wood carving.

Before the Museum, we had lunch in Chino at Cannataro's.

I had my usual, although not very photogenic, eggplant parmesan.

Judy had their shrimp scampi on angel hair pasta.  Both dishes were wonderful.
