April 1, 2020 - Wednesday - Today we went to the largest park in Redlands, Prospect Park, on the south end of the city. In the 1880s the site was known as Prospect Hill because of the magnificent view of the "Valley of the Cupped Hand of God," as the Indians called it.
The park is surrounded by beautiful, productive orange groves.
The park is home to the Redlands Theater Festival in the Prospect Park Amphitheater.
The wisteria are currently in bloom.
The carriage house was built in 1896.
It's a lovely setting for a leisurely walk.
