April 30, 2022 - Saturday - We stayed local today to see six gardens in Redlands. The Garden Tour is sponsored by the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society. It's a group of more than 200 families that "enjoy gardening and love learning about plants of all kinds."
The first garden was the Armstrong Garden on Eucalyptus Avenue.
The second was the Strictland Garden on Dwight Street.
The third was the Levine Garden on West Sunset Drive.
We loved the clothesline in the middle of a cactus garden.
The fourth was the Howo Garden on Sterling Street.
The fifth was the Neuendorff Garden on Kevin Avenue.
It has a unique water feature on the front of the house.
The sixth and last garden was the Herendeen Garden on West Olive Street.
We also stayed local to eat, so we checked out the new Denny's that opened in the former Sizzler Steakhouse location.
We both had eggs and sausages, with hash brown potatoes topped with shredded cheddar cheese.
The garden tour was great and our breakfast was delicious, so it was a nice local adventure. |
