September 16, 2020 - Today we were in Upland, CA to see some of the historic buildings there. I was lucky to find a file from Upland Heritage with a comprehensive list of their historic buildings, including a list of their "named" buildings. We are familiar with the process of getting a "named" building since Preservation Worcester named our house in Worcester, MA after extensive research and on-site investigation of the property.
Since there are about 70 "named" buildings in Upland, we will split our adventure here into three separate trips, this being our first of the three. 105 East A St. - Duley Transfer Barn and Storage - c. 1925
210 East A St. - "Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe R.R. Station" - 1937 Spanish Colonial Revival
217 East A St. - "Cooper Regional History Museum" - 1935 "Art Deco/Spanish Colonial Revival"
392 East A St. - "Upland Lemon Company" - c. 1898-1907 Streamline Moderne
425 East Arrow Hwy. - "Upland Elementary School" - Moderne
524 East Arrow Hwy. - P. J. Schmidt House - c. 1910 Turn of the Century
49 East C St. - "F. C. Crowell Memorial Hall" - 1917 Mission Revival
